15 Inch Macbook Pro: The New Apple of the Summer!

According to trusted sources in its supply chain, Apple is going to launch a revamped version of the 15 inch MacBook Pros this summer and it is currently in test production.

Numerous speculations had been made about its design such as the probability that it will use the previous MacBook design. Others have said it will be similar to the MacBook air, but those rumors were denied by sources familiar with Apple supply chain. According to 9to5 “the new 15-inch MacBook Pro is described as being an ultra-thin version of the current MacBook Pro” going deeper by mentioning that the design will be thinner but more robust.

If the rumors are all true, here are some other new updates which will improve your MacBook use:

• The retina display of the new version will be inspired by the retina display on the 3.5 inch screen of the iPhone 4 and the 9.7 inch 2048 x 1536 retina display of the iPad. Users will have the ability to change the display and make it smaller or bigger. Retina displays for the revamped MacBook Pros could cost Apple almost 0 more per unit than the current screens it uses for its 15-inch Pro. According to the senior analyst Richard Shim from DisplaySearch, Apple pays per display on the current 15-inch models , and would pay 0 for the Retina display.

The design on the keyboard will also be different: the eject button will be replaced by the logo of the power button

• The newest feature will be the USB 3 port. Better and faster the USB 2.0, Apple finally decided to add this new generation of connector to its new MacBook Pro.

• Apple will update the processor by replacing the old Intel processor with Intel’s faster Ivy Bridge and Apple will switch AMD to NVidia graphics in order to improve the quality of the graphics.

The MacBook Pro’s Ethernet port, the optical drive, and the firewire are going to disappear. The Ethernet port will be replaced by an extra thunderbolt port, which is an interface for connecting peripheral devices to a computer via an expansion bus created by Intel.

If the new MacBook Pro is really going to be launched this summer, it will be ready for the Apple’s Worldwide Developers annual Conference which is next month, perfect timing with Mac OS X Lion, which is arriving this summer. It is equipped with the technology to adapt user interface to higher resolutions.

We have heard a lot of rumors since we knew about its future existence. Some were true, others a little too far fetched, but now thanks to 9to5, which had familiar sources with the Apple supply chain, we believe it will meet our expectations. According to an article on Mashable, “the new 15-inch MacBook Pro might be one of the most important MacBook devices to see the light of day in recent years.”

We all look forward to seeing this machine and what it can do.
